have you had your eyes checked lately ?

What do you see when you look at someone.... do you see what they are wearing , their face,their body? Do you focus on all the stuff they have around them....thier car, their house, a watch,job,shoes....whatever ? And what does someone see when they look at you? Are they just scanning the surface of what you present....are they looking at what they might project from their own mind about who you are? Is anyone getting close to knowing the real person behind the stuff...the image.....the percieved persona. I hate to be a pessimist but I really don't think many people have a clue who they are looking at for months and when the months are up, it is likely they will not really be able to come to terms with the actual true identity of the person they are seeing. Perhaps this is why so many relationships die after 6-10 weeks or less. People see what they want to see more than the real thing. So much of what we see is advertising,projected images depicting something fictional while trying to sell you something that may have no real similarity to the advertised image. Increasingly, people have taken on this ploy from both sides....selling themselves and buying into a projected image. What about people with no projected image? Certain people have a "take me as I am,I don't care what anyone thinks" attitude. While this may be a refreshingly honest approach it is likely to isolate such a person from society at large as all of us have gotten so conditioned to advertising and the roles we take in this whole shell game of self image. Clothes make the man? No......clothes hide the man.....clothes make the image.
